Rosie came to Rescue Ranch in February of 2025 from a family who loved her very much and cared for her for over two decades. Unfortunately, Rosie's longtime pasture mate passed away, and her family found her to be very lonely. Unsure of what steps to take next, the family consulted with her veterinarian and another rescue. In no time, Rosie found her way to us where she could have pasture mates and be loved and cared for every day.

Rosie immediately stole everyone's hearts with her sweet and loving nature!

She genuinely enjoys the company of people and will begin to bray loudly when she sees anyone coming. She loves having her ears scratched and will follow our staff, volunteers and interns around while they are servicing her yard. We guarantee she will steal your heart as well, so be sure you say hello to Rosie when you come for a visit!

This sweet girl does have Cushing's Disease. Cushing's Disease is a disease of the pituitary gland that affects proper hormone production and requires daily medication and more thorough exams to test her levels. Due to this disease, Rosie is affected by changes to her coat, metabolic issues, and endures challenges keeping her at a healthy weight. With extra grain for calories, supplements and medications, and frequent veterinary evaluations.

Our commitment is simple: to give Rosie the very best quality of life in her golden years.

Your $25 monthly sponsorship helps provide the essentials she depends on - medications, grain, supplements, hoof care, dental work, veterinary evaluations, and so much more.

When you sponsor Rosie, you become part of the team quietly standing beside her, just as she (not so) quietly stands within her herd. As part of her circle of care, you’ll receive a Certificate of Sponsorship and occasional updates so you can follow her journey.
