Fox Sports Jamie Little To Emcee Rescue Ranch 15th Annual “Night In Havana” Dinner And Auction

Celebrate 15 Years of Promoting Humane Education Through Hands-On Learning and Care for Animals

Veteran motor sports reporter for FOX Sports, Jamie Little, is joining NASCAR driver Ryan Newman and Krissie Newman, to emcee their 15th Annual Rescue Ranch Dinner and Auction on December 13 at the Statesville (N.C.) Civic Center. It is the second-straight year that Little is hosting the biggest fundraiser for the non-profit animal welfare organization.

Jamie Little

Little, a longtime Rescue Ranch supporter, helped the Newman’s unveil their 10,000 square-foot, all-inclusive Earnhardt Family Playground in 2017. According to the NASCAR pit reporter, “I love what Rescue Ranch does and stands for. That is why I am honored to help with any events that help raise money for animals. Rescuing animals in need is something that is extremely close to my heart. I always joke that when I grow up I want to be Krissie (Newman). Her passion and love for animals has been brought to reality and it’s truly inspiring.

“Another element of Rescue Ranch is the educational aspect for kids and their families. Compassion for animals starts young and it’s the perfect place to teach that.”

Little is currently looking for the right costume to wear to compliment this year’s “A Night in Havana” theme.  On tap for the dinner is a zesty menu featuring Cuban- and caribbean-style favorites, along with a specialty rum cocktail created just for the event by Muddy River Distillery. Plus, guests will be treated to salsa lessons to cha-cha the night away. And for those that love to give back, they can bid on amazing auction items to help raise funds for humane education for children and their families that includes hands-on learning and care for animals.

“We are really looking forward to having Jamie back with us,” said Ryan Newman, co-founder of Rescue Ranch and driver of the No. 6 Roush Fenway Racing Ford Mustang in the NASCAR Cup Series. “She’s so passionate about our cause and goes the extra mile to raise awareness for Rescue Ranch. We always look forward to her visits when FOX Sports is in town to cover the Charlotte races. She never misses a trip to see our latest projects and of course, see the animals.”

Before making her home in Indianapolis is 2017, Little spent much of her free time volunteering at Nevada’s largest animal rescue shelter, and served as its spokesperson. Her first solo charity project was a 2016 calendar titled “Las Vegas to the Rescue,” featuring Las Vegas celebrities, such as Wayne Newton, Carrot Top, UFC standout Miesha Tate and NASCAR driver Brendan Gaughan, posing with homeless pets from the shelter to promote adoption.

Formed in 2012, Rescue Ranch is a 501(C)(3) non-profit welfare organization founded by Ryan and Krissie Newman. It sits on 87-acres in Statesville, North Carolina and is home to over 80 animal ambassadors.

The Rescue Ranch Human Education Center opened in October 2013. Throughout the year, Rescue Ranch offers school, Scout, camp programs, birthday parties, and special events. The facility also boasts an impressive 10,000-square-foot inclusive Earnhardt Family Playground along with nature hiking and walking education trails.
