Celebrate 15 Years of Promoting Humane Education Through Hands-On Learning and Care for Animals

NASCAR driver Ryan Newman and Krissie Newman are preparing to turn the Statesville (N.C.) Civic Center into a cuban nightclub when they host their 15th Annual Rescue Ranch Dinner and Auction on December 13.

This year’s theme, “A Night in Havana,” includes a zesty menu featuring cuban- and caribbean-style favorites, as well as a specialty rum and tropical fruit cocktail created just for the event. Plus guests will be treated to salsa lessons to cha-cha-cha the night away and for those that love to give back, they can bid on amazing auction items to help raise funds for humane education for children and their families that includes hands-on learning and care for animals.

“My hope for Rescue Ranch over these past 15 years has been to make it a sustainable asset for the community,” said Ryan Newman, co-founder of Rescue Ranch and driver of the No. 6 Roush Fenway Racing Ford Mustang in the NASCAR Cup Series. “We are not going to be here forever, but our programs and facility needs to be. Thanks to our partners, patrons and volunteers who have attended our numerous events, including our annual dinner and gala, our community is embracing, enjoying and using Rescue Ranch to make a difference.”

“The kind of love that animals give is something you just don’t get anywhere else,” added Krissie Newman, co-founder and president of Rescue Ranch. “They can’t speak for themselves so it’s up to us and our children.

“Through our programs, kids are learning that eggs are not made at the grocery store. And to own a pet, it requires unconditional love, a long-lasting commitment and responsible ownership. With that said, so much more needs to be done. Our future plans for Rescue Ranch include a 24-hour emergency veterinarian clinic with an extern program, an outdoor education center, and a rescue foster adoption program. The 15th Annual Rescue Ranch Dinner and Gala will help us get one step closer to turning our future plans into a reality.”

Formed in 2012 on 87-acres in Statesville, N.C., Rescue Ranch is a 501(C)(3) non-profit welfare organization founded by Ryan and Krissie Newman.

The Rescue Ranch Human Education Center opened in October 2013. Throughout the year, Rescue Ranch offers school, Scout, camp programs, birthday parties, and special events. The facility also boasts an impressive 10,000-square-foot inclusive Earnhardt Family Playground along with nature hiking and walking education trails.
