Fun for all - even our furry friends!

Saturday, October 14th, Rescue Ranch hosted the 3rd Annual Dogtoberfest Event with over 325 guests and as many as 50 four-legged friends in attendance!  While the weather was gloomy, spirits were high - especially during the highly anticipated pet costume contest! The Big Dog sponsor, Randy Marion Subaru was back again this year, providing free giveaways to guests as they entered the event area.  And many vendors got creative and rolled out the red carpet for the dogs.  Free prizes, a dog "biscuit bar" with a variety of toppings including peanut butter, yogurt and whip cream were just some of the fun ideas and treats.

A & A Sales and Service, one of the event sponsors, opted to bring excitement to the children in attendance - providing the tractor to pull the train for rides around the playground area.

Specialty vendors, food trucks and beer trucks were all also part of the overall success of the event.

Several interviews, including thoughts from our Co-Founder, Krissie Newman, staff and guests, can be found by watching this great coverage of the event by Charlotte TV For Your Neighborhood | NeighborhoodTV

Guests (look-alikes) in attendance, include celebrities, business owners, and musicians.

Each year, the pet costume contest draws a host of interesting characters - and this year was no different!  Pups were dressed as celebrities including Dolly Parton, Bob Marley, Woody, and The Colonel and his Kentucky Fried Chicken.  There were unicorns, devils, lady bugs, and even a "Swiftie"!  You can see more photos of the contestants in the Iredell Free News Article.

More than $8,500 in funds raised -

This event is one of the signature events held at Rescue Ranch and is critical for raising funds. These funds will help support the Ranch's mission of rescuing animals and educating members of our communities about the importance of humane treatment of animals and the importance of responsible pet ownership. These funds will help support the Ranch's mission of rescuing animals and educating members of our communities about the importance of humane treatment of animals and the importance of responsible pet ownership.  Volunteer support for the event by locals groups such as Energy United, Community School of Davidson, Davidson College Bonner Scholars, and the National Charity League of LKN all played a part in getting the property ready and carrying out the event.  Sponsorships from Randy Marion Subaru, A & A Sales and Service, as well as Eastern Equine & Associates helped make the event a success.  Many thanks to all who attended and supported the event!
