Meet Bert and Ernie, Animal Ambassadors

Last Updated 9/8/2023Posted in Ambassadors, Homepage

If you have been to the Ranch this summer, you may have noticed two new feathered friends in our goat yard. Bert and Ernie joined our Animal Ambassador crew in June and have seamlessly integrated themselves in with the goat herd! They are both extremely talkative and will follow you around impatiently waiting for you to give them treats - corn is a strong favorite, especially for Bert!  They also enjoy cantaloupe, watermelon, apple and cucumber.

Bert, the larger and darker of the two, is a Bronze Turkey. In the sun, his feathers display a stunning iridescent sheen!  Ernie, the smaller one, is a Bourbon Red Turkey. Both boys are roughly two years old and are bonded together.

Next time you come visit the Ranch, keep and eye out for these two handsome fellows!
